Job Title: Quantity Surveyor (Civils)
Location: Dublin (Projects across Dublin and surrounding areas; hybrid working option available)
Salary Range: €60,000–€70,000 per annum
Start Date: January 2025

Role Overview
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a critical role in managing costs, ensuring profitability, and maintaining quality across diverse projects. Reporting directly to the Commercial Manager, you will work closely with engineers, foremen, and other team members to deliver successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and reports
- Manage project finances to ensure costs are controlled and within budget.
- Conduct regular site visits to assess project progress and cost alignment.
- Assist in procuring subcontractors and materials, ensuring value for money.
- Prepare and evaluate tenders, contracts, and financial agreements.
- Conduct interim valuations and prepare applications for payment.
- Handle final accounts, ensuring proper closure of projects.
- Work closely with site engineers, foremen, and other team members to track progress.
- Provide detailed reports to the Commercial Manager, highlighting risks, opportunities, and cost savings.
Requirements
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in civil engineering, groundworks, or related field,
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.
- Experience with AutoCAD (preferred but not mandatory).
- Familiarity with traditional measurement method
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and adapt to project needs.
